PVC Tube Extrusion and Cutting Machine                    (For Infusion Set Production)

The PVC Tube Extrusion and Cutting Machine is a key piece of equipment in the infusion set production line. It is used to produce high-quality medical-grade soft PVC tubes that meet the strict standards required for IV infusion sets. The machine integrates extrusion, cooling, sizing, haul-off, and automatic cutting into one continuous production system, ensuring stable tube dimensions, smooth surfaces, and excellent transparency.

Working Principle

The PVC tube extruder converts medical-grade PVC granules into finished soft tubes through the following steps:

1. Material Extrusion

• Medical PVC resin is heated and melted in the extruder barrel.

• A high-precision screw pushes the melted material through a die head to form the tube shape.

2. Water Cooling & Sizing

• The hot tube enters a vacuum sizing tank for accurate diameter control.

• Followed by a cooling water tank, ensuring uniform thickness and excellent transparency.

3. Haul-Off (Pulling)

• Servo-controlled pulling unit keeps tube speed stable, ensuring consistent wall thickness and diameter.

4. Automatic Cutting

• Tubes are cut to the required length automatically (commonly 1.3m–1.5m for IV sets).

• Cutting accuracy is maintained within ±1mm.

5. Finished Tube Collection

• Cut tubes are collected in bundles for the next assembly process.
