The PVC Tube Extrusion and Cutting Machine is a key piece of equipment in the infusion set production line. It is used to produce high-quality medical-grade soft PVC tubes that meet the strict standards required for IV infusion sets. The machine integrates extrusion, cooling, sizing, haul-off, and automatic cutting into one continuous production system, ensuring stable tube dimensions, smooth surfaces, and excellent transparency.
The PVC tube extruder converts medical-grade PVC granules into finished soft tubes through the following steps:
Medical PVC resin is heated and melted in the extruder barrel.
A high-precision screw pushes the melted material through a die head to form the tube shape.
The hot tube enters a vacuum sizing tank for accurate diameter control.
Followed by a cooling water tank, ensuring uniform thickness and excellent transparency.
Servo-controlled pulling unit keeps tube speed stable, ensuring consistent wall thickness and diameter.
Tubes are cut to the required length automatically (commonly 1.3m–1.5m for IV sets).
Cutting accuracy is maintained within ±1mm.
Cut tubes are collected in bundles for the next assembly process.
